Argentina’s best Heavy Metal band, HELKER, has signed with AFM Records. It’s easy to be impressed by the band around charismatic vocalist Diego Valdez: their straight-forward und pure Power Metal is of extraordinary quality. And the South American band, thanks to their keen sense of melodies, also appeals to fans of Hard- and Melodic Rock a lot.
So „Somewhere In The Circle“ holds heavy-riffing tracks such as „Modern Roman Circus“ and „No Chance To Be Reborn”, but also offers deeply-melodic facets („Ghosts From The Past“) and very emotional songs (“Flying”). Their 11-track consisting work was produced by Mat Sinner (who also is featured as co-writer), the mix was handled by Achim Koehler (Indiscreet Audio studios). As guests on the album, HELKER welcome Tim ”Ripper” Owens (ex-Judas Priest) and Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear) who both share lead vocals with Diego Valdez on the epic "Begging For Forgiveness”. As a special, „Somewhere In The Circle“ will also be released in a Spanish version (which will be available digital only) on February 15th too.
The European audience might very well recognize Valdez from his appearance on the latest DVD/CD of Tarja (where he is featured as guest singer on the track "Phantom Of The Opera").

Formed in Buenos Aires, Argentina by guitar player Mariano Ríos and bassist Christian Abarca, the current HELKER line-up features guitar player Leo Aristu, drummer Hernán Coronel and one of the today’s finest metal singers - Diego Valdez. HELKER is widely considered as the leading South American heavy metal band to emerge from Argentina. Since their start HELKER released two highly respected albums in their native language, “Resistir” in 2008 and “A.D.N.” in 2010; these albums helped a lot to built up a loyal fan-base not only  by Argentina’s metal fans.
Since their beginning, HELKER was one of the most active live bands in South America and toured with Primal Fear, Hammerfall, Stratovarius, Gamma Ray, Shaman and many more across Argentina and its neighboring countries.

HELKER then decided to record their first international album with acclaimed producer Mat Sinner. The band wrote 11 new songs together with Mat Sinner and Achim Koehler mixed & mastered the album in Germany at Indiscreet Audio Studios. And as we know HELKER and their ambitions, now also the European continent will see the band’s live show very soon.
